The photo journal would be incomplete without a photo of the Dutch windmill. This one was located north of Utrecht. After two days in Amsterdam I decided to venture onward, and to cycle south toward Germany. South of Amsterdam the signposting on the cycle paths seemed to have been planted by the Mad Hatter, because they sent me in rather aimless directions. I started ignoring them and following my watch compass, which seemed to work better. (9/13/04)

Holland is the best in many ways, but you always need maps first then road signs second. Make sure you visit s'Hertogenbosh area.
