Outside of the cities the agrarian life does not seem to incorporate much technology - with the exception of car tires attached to horse-drawn carts - and also seems quite a bit poorer. There were lots of horse drawn carts that I saw on the national motorway from Babrujsk to Homel, with some unfriendly truck drivers blasting their horns at them. (12-21-04)
