Gansevoort Market is a charming, historic, industrial-era area on the lower, western side of Manhattan island. Gansevoort Market is part of the meat-packing district, which is now a mixture of warehouses, trendy restaurants, and night clubs. It's claims to fame include amazing architecture, cobbled streets, and a tranquility not found elsewhere in Manhattan.
