Mildly Amusing
I'm all excited about the Linux World Expo, here in New York in Jan. Yet if Linux is so cool, why do they run their site on Microsoft Windows?

Central Park Snow Fun
I rather surprised myself and actually got out of bed Sat am for the 'Hot Chocolate' race in Central Park. Because of the heavy snow, the race had been shortened to 'only' 6 miles and designated a 'fun' run. Relaxed afterwards with hot chocolate and brunch with some of the folks from 'Team Dude', a bunch of 'wackywack-jobs' who train, race and chill together. They have some photos of running in the snowover here and me buzzed out on adreneline and hot choc (and a cute girl!).

Bloggers Safety Tip with Apache's mod_rewrite
Some bloggers have discovered, to their cost, that you have to be very careful about what you blog. People often assume that the Internet is anonymous and what they write in their blogs will not touch their 'real' life. They often forget that their parents, girl/boyfriends or boss may be reading. Even seemingly innocuous things can get you fired as Mike found to his detriment. Below is a simple tip that doesn't stop you from having to think before you blog, but it can help keep your blog away from groups that you may not want to see it. It uses Apache's mod_rewrite that allows you to remap requests for a URL to different files.
